Job Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned and strategic CFO to oversee all financial aspects of our retail operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring financial stability, and driving the company's financial performance to new heights.
Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the executive team and board.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial data and trends, providing insights for decision-making.
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Present financial performance and reports to the executive team and board.
Risk Management:
- Assess and manage financial risks, implementing strategies to ensure financial stability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow and liquidity, optimizing working capital for operational needs.
- Implement efficient treasury and cash management practices.
Cost Management:
- Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Work closely with department heads to ensure cost-effective operations.
Financial Controls:
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the company's strategic plans and initiatives.
- Evaluate potential investments and business opportunities.
Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):
- Assess and lead financial aspects of potential mergers and acquisitions.
- Ensure successful integration of financial operations post-acquisition.
Team Leadership:
- Provide strong leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Mentor and develop finance professionals within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role within the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of retail business models and financial implications.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in managing financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
