Chief Financial Officer

The role holder has to act as Business Partner and be responsible for maintenance and integrity of the Finance function of the Real Estate Business in the KCT Group. The incumbent has to help management in deciding their financial and commercial strategies. He / She will be responsible to manage the entire finance and account function.

Financial Planning & Analysis :

- Develop policies and processes to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.

- Ensure robust budgeting for capital expenses and other revenue expenses.

- Oversee the long term and short term budgetary planning and costs management and ensure that same is in alignment with the organization's strategic plan and goals.

- Provide analysis and insight to prioritize the allocation of scarce resources to areas where more value can be generated.

- Develop strategies for cost optimization and hence increase in profitability.

- Develop policies and systems for accounts receivables and payables.

- Responsible to plan and manage the working capital requirements and ensure that company has sufficient cash flow in order to meet its short-term debt obligations and operating expenses.

Accounting & Taxation :

- Responsible for the streamlined finance, accounts and taxation operations of the company.

- Ensure timely finalization of accounts in accordance with the statutory requirements.

- Effective tax planning through understanding of tax implications of financial portfolio/structure of the company, tax planning of business expenditure, etc.

- Responsible for adherence to taxation norms-filing of returns on time, service tax planning and TDS.

- Analyze MIS reports as prepared by MIS team.

Audit :

- Facilitate statutory audits and facilitate internal audits. Ensure that actions are taken and non-conformities addressed.

- Ensure prescribed changes by statutory auditors in books of accounts are incorporated and audits are done timely.

Banking & Treasury :

- Oversees all treasury activities including banking, investment, and liquidity management.

- Negotiate term loans and higher credit limits for smooth operations.

- Responsible to outline and implement investment strategies for the company and ensure higher returns.

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Banks/Financial Institutions/various lender groups in order to seek business solutions from time to time.

Control :

- Create a culture of financial discipline by ensuring the implementation of financial management systems and processes across the organization.

- Ensure cost control through timely variance analysis and feedback to business heads and HODs.

- Conduct timely finance review meetings to monitor achievement of action plans, identify and highlight deviations, document corrective action and report performance of the same.

- Also responsible for debtor and creditor management and ensure proper track of all debtors and creditors and timely recovery and payment.

- Analyze and identify areas which are underperforming and keep the executive management updated on the same.

- Develops and monitors strategies for ensuring the long term financial viability of the organization.

- Review and present MIS related to business performance to the executive management team (business efficiency, business wise sales performance).

Risk Management & Compliance :

- Identify internal and external financial risk for the business and ensure measures for mitigation.

- Plan and direct business analysis, risk modeling and loss prevention programs.

- Plan and approve all matters relating to insurance and risk coverage of organization's assets.

- Ensure compliance with the corporate laws and related regulations.

- Ascertain compliance of all group policies and procedures.

Land Management :

- Carry out the final negotiations and guide the land management head to formulate offers to pursue land opportunities in order to meet the company's land requirements within defined annual budget and forecasts.

- Responsible to ensure all tax related formalities are completed during the land acquisition process.

Estate Management :

- Ensures accomplishment of all financial objectives by collecting rents, paying bills, forecasting requirement, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variance and initiating corrective action.

- Responsible to take care of all tax related issues of the property and also maintain relationship with local government authorities to ensure smooth day to day functioning.

People Management & Development :

- Finalize KRAs of subordinates and reporting departments to evaluate their performance.

- Review and assist in performance improvement through continuous feedback, motivation, job rotation and guidance/mentoring.

- Develop successors for various positions through job rotation and training.

- Communicate to HR department the manpower requirements (as per company policy) for the Function.
