Role: CFO India
Location: Mumbai
Background and experience: CA with 8-12 years of experience from across sectors, preferably from a manufacturing setup
An opportunity to head the Finance function for a fast growing manufacturing setup in India
Key responsibilties:
Business Partnering:
- Work as a close business partner for India and the Country's leadership team to ensure optimisation of financial performance and develop a country strategy for the future
- Drive best practices (towards working capital and capital expenditures) and set stretch targets for the business to deliver continuous improvement in this area
- Work with the operations team on cost improvement and ensure strong cost control within the business
- Manage the Finance activities within the organizational programs, working closely with the functional leadership
Planning:
- Establish, review and/or refine the country’s Strategic planning, Forecasting and Budgeting process
- Review and challenge financial plans and projections with the right level of rigor for discussion and approval by the management
Reporting:
- Provide accurate and reliable financial statements and reports on the financial position of the country to the executive team
- Lead and monitor the variance analysis from budget, forecast and prior year, and use this info to drive improvement and take corrective action if needed
- Lead preparation and timely submission of accurate statutory reports
Governance & Internal Controls:
- Set the Internal Controls tone within the country and ensure adherence to the organization's policies
- Advise / support the management to formulate appropriate financial policy issues in line with international standards and best practice to protect the country from financial abuse, negligence and/or fraud
- Review and authorize all financial transactions within the delegated authority level
- Work together with the entire Finance function to set the audit agenda
- Ensure controlling and accounting for the country in accordance with the internationally and nationally relevant regulatory laws
Performance management:
- Provide leadership for the Finance function, communicate to direct and indirect reports clear performance expectations and drive continuous improvement in the function
- Coach, mentor and develop all finance personnel, particularly the top talent/high potentials; develop succession plan for key roles
Other accountabilities:
- Provide leadership future acquisitions, partnerships or divestures
- Provide country leadership for the development of synergies within the business units and executions, particularly towards M&A and restructuring
