We are hiring for an Interim Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Board for a leading MNC setting up its manufacturing operations in India.

The Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be primarily responsible for the initial setting up, growing the key members for the team, planning, implementation, managing, and running of all the finance activities of a company, including financial controls, business planning, budgeting, forecasting, negotiations, maintaining investor relations, and partnership compliance.

Title : Interim Chief Financial Officer (Interim CFO).

Nature : Interim for a period of 12 to 18 Months.

Preferred : Retired or Early Retired CFO with clean corporate records.

Qualifications:

Ideally a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

MBAs with exceptional experience and pedigree will be equally considered.

Experience Portfolio:


With 30+ years of experience of which the last 5 or more should be in leadership positions preferably in a top notch packaging company or companies though this will not be a limiting factor for the right candidate.

Excellent people management skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, Board members, and peers.

Strong functional knowledge.

Responsibilities.

- Experience in working with senior leadership at a global level with in-depth exposure to one or more geographies.

- Formulate and implement business plans, budgets, and forecasts for the company.

- Experience in managing and turning around a financially stressed business is essential.

- This will include experience in preparing, presenting, and getting approvals on debt restructuring proposals from the banks and financial institutions.

- As a corollary, the person should have excellent relations and network with the leading banks and financial institutions.

- Give pro-active advice to senior management on finance-related business issues like funds generation & management, cost restructuring, cost control, accounts payable and receivables, DSOs etc.

- Oversee budgetary control, close monitoring of expenditure, and conduct variance analysis.

- Financial reporting to the Management and if required fine-tuning and implementing internal reporting systems to facilitate timely action and decision making.

- Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the Company with regard to operational goals and budgets on an ongoing basis.

- Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analysis to provide financial insight into the organization's plans and operating budgets.

- Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance, and financial procedures.

- Ensure tax compliance and undertake pro-active tax planning and provide advice on tax matters to the senior management team.

- Chart out Internal Audit program for operations in India and/or global subsidiaries encompassing all areas of operations.

- Build relationships with governments, regulatory bodies, customers, and suppliers.

- Ensure efficient working capital management for projects and routine operations and monitor daily cash flows and judicious investment of excess funds.

- Ensure timely preparation of the Profit and Loss account and annual report and completion of Statutory Audit, Transfer pricing report, and other statutory reporting.

- Coordination with Statutory Auditors to ensure finalization and closure of books of accounts for India and for the consolidated entity.

- Identify internal and external risks for the business and ensure measures for mitigation.

- Ensure compliance with the corporate laws and related regulations.

- Ascertain compliance with all group policies and procedures.

- Ensure that all relevant insurance policies including fire, project, and employee benefits are taken within the defined period.

- Building a high-performance and highly motivated Finance and Accounts team.

- Any other responsibilities as entrusted from time to time.

Other Requirements:

- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.

- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.

- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e. Oracle, SAP).

- Ability to strategize and solve problems.

- Strong leadership and organizational skills.

- Excellent communication and people skills.

- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
