Position Overview: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations, driving financial strategy, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. The CFO will report directly to the MD and the Executive Director /CEO and work closely with other senior leaders to ensure financial stability and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Vertical wise P&L Management:
- Oversee the financial performance of different business verticals, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze and report on vertical-specific P&Ls, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
System-Driven Financial Management (SAP B1):
- Implement and manage financial systems, specifically SAP B1, to streamline financial operations and reporting.
- Ensure the integration of SAP B1 with other business processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
Robust Financial Procedures:
- Develop and enforce robust procedures for procure-to-pay (P2P) and other financial processes.
- Ensure financial procedures are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Balance Sheet Management:
- Manage and oversee the company's balance sheet, ensuring optimal asset and liability management.
- Conduct regular reviews and analyses to ensure the financial health of the company.
Team Building and Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities for finance team members.
Cash Flow Improvement and Profitability:
- Implement strategies to improve cash flow and profitability.
- Monitor financial performance and take corrective actions as needed to meet financial targets.
Loan Management:
- Oversee the management of loans, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with covenants.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and lenders.
Export Finance Management:
- Manage financial aspects related to export activities, including currency risk management and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Optimize export financing options to support the company's global growth.
Wealth Management:
- Oversee the management of the company's wealth and investments, ensuring optimal returns.
- Develop strategies for long-term financial sustainability and growth.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Provide accurate and timely financial forecasts to support decision-making.
Government Affairs:
Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and secure favorable conditions for the company.
Stay informed about relevant government policies and their impact on the business.
Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance.
Extensive experience in finance management, preferably in the manufacturing and consumer goods sectors.
Proven ability to drive strategic value and contribute to business growth.
Proficiency in SAP B1 and other financial management systems.
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
