Job Description
Looking for a CFO for a leading Group of companies in Hyderabad with manufacturing, infrastructure & Construction Company and Services.
The incumbent will be responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring all revenue and expenses for the Company. They will be responsible for ensuring that all financial reports adhere to the company policies and regulatory requirements.
The key tenets of the role include:
- Establishing and maintaining comprehensive financial systems and procedures to provide appropriate levels of security and control over the Company's resources and operations.
- Managing investor relationships, funding, and being able to present to global investors.
- Actively participating in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities and having an understanding of initial public offerings (IPOs).
- Guiding the Management team and board members,.
- Preparing the Company's budgets and forecasts, liaising with all departments and subsidiaries CFOs to gather necessary budget input and ensure budgets are updated as required by management.
- Preparing financial projections in support of the Company's overall Business Plan.
- Conducting reconciliation of the Company's financial position in terms of cost, income, profit and loss accounts, and balance sheet.
- Conducting regular monthly reconciliations of Project Costing and profitability against Budgets and Forecasts.
- Reviewing and monitoring the expenditure process proactively, and suggesting procedural changes to ensure errors are logged and corrected.
- Ensuring periodic regulatory project audits are prepared accurately and submitted to applicable authorities, understanding and implementing Goods and Services Tax (GST), and having a good understanding of the laws of the land and statutory procedures.
- Preparing and reviewing interim and annual financial statements.
- Coordinating with public relations for publishing the Company's annual report.
- Liaising with external and internal auditors (if applicable) and providing financial data as requested by the auditors.
- Assisting and managing fund-raising activities, investors, private equity/venture capital firms, qualified institutional placements (QIPs), and financial institutions.
- Assisting the Company's borrowing, renewals, and other bank-related activities as required.
- Managing the introduction of Value-Added Tax (VAT) and ensuring returns are made on time, payments are made on time, and all relevant regulations are complied with.
- Identifying and implementing new technology solutions to increase productivity in the department and provide higher-quality management information for the CEO and the Executive Management Committee members.
- Maintaining and controlling the accounting records of the Company's subsidiaries.
- Preparing/reviewing monthly MIS reports on key performance indicators for the CEO, and preparing/reviewing various MIS reports including daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required by the CEO, CMD, and Board of Directors.
- Agreeing on performance objectives for all team members and assisting the HR Department in undertaking performance appraisals and Training Need Analysis (TNA) for each employee in the department.
- Undertaking other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the CMD and Board of Directors from time to time.
- Managing audits - Company/Subsidiary companies and projects.
- Having a good understanding of global accounting procedures.
The Candidate:
Educational Qualifications:
- Post-Graduation Degree in Financial Accounting or a related subject
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CIMA, ACA, or ACCA preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years with Over 5 years of relevant experience in a CFO orsimilar position, focusing on managing financial and accounting activities
- Global exposure and investor relations is a must-have
- Experience in the Construction/Real estate industry, IT Product/IT Services companies with revenue size of 1500 Crores and above is preferred
- Must have experience in investor relationships, foreign funding, IPOs, and M&A activities.
