Reports To : Group Finance Officer / VP
Candidates from Hospitality Sector Preferred.
Role Purpose :
- Ensure Accounting and Financial Reporting of all hotel and Corporate operations in compliance with Accounting Standards & Guidelines and local tax laws.
- Manage the day to day operations of the Finance function like preparation and management of the hotels financial budgets, implementing and overseeing all activities relating to the financial aspects of the hotel operations in compliance with the local tax laws.
- Financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit and control, asset and liability reconciliation, working capital and cash control. etc.
- Proactively managing the cash flows and debts including the liasioning and managing banking relationship fostering
Key Accountabilities :
- Overall accounting & reporting and financial management including statutory accounting and reporting of unit wise business performance; This includes the managing Board of Directors and shareholders requirements
- Perform cost analyses based on income behaviour and fixed and variable costs by department or product, etc. and assist Asset Management team proactively with cost control requirements
- Preparing and reviewing annual budgets, monthly forecasts, operating results at entity and Hotel Unit level
- Ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard hotel assets including Insurance of assets
- Monitor and improve hotels operation costs, profitability and manage business risks
- Assist for revenue profit improvement opportunities enhancement possibilities for the Hotel units and legal entity as a whole
- Support and liaise with the General Manager and Asset Management Team in meeting the strategic goals of the organisation
- Create reporting mechanisms to provide right MIS, specific and relevant information to Management in improving cost structure of operations (material usage, assets, capital expenditure.
- Project management, cash and funds management including Commercials controls
- HOA monitoring from Finance perspective including the performance monitoring
- Statutory compliance across all functions and verticals
- Implement all accounting policies and procedures
- represent the finance department during periodic review meetings
- liaise with the Asset Management team, General Manager (AM), Group CFO, Managing Director of the organisation and participate and support in implementation of all key initiatives and projects
- Develop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish the work.
- Set up, comply, monitor and review of all Tax and accounting related statutory compliances
- Establish and oversee internal, external and regulatory audit & processes.
- Ensures finance employees establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships within their team.
- Provides excellent leadership by differentiating top performers, fosters teamwork and also able to encourages work/life balance
- Develop an efficient and professional team of employees within Finance and Accounting Department including building of technical and behavioural capabilities
Prerequisites :
- Should have a high command of MS Applications like Excel, Power point etc.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent financial/business decision making.
- Should possess strong financial knowledge.
- Analytical skills and very well organised.
Education :
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant
- At least 12-15 years of financial and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations.
- The experience in an up-scale 5 star hospitality environment is preferred.
