Job Summary:

- As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the professional is expected to oversee all finance-related activities and functions of the organisation, including but not limited to back office treasury operations, investment activities, budget and cost planning and financial risk management.

- The ideal candidate for this position should have strong organisational and communication skills and extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, treasury, investment, and other related fields, with a proven track record of effective team management in a leadership role. Previous experience in or extensive knowledge of mortgage securitisation and the RMBS landscape in India/ globally is desirable.

Responsibilities:

1. Establish, monitor, and update the financial strategies in line with the objectives of the organization within the agreed timelines and budgets

2. Allocate a budget and continuously monitor fund limits for key business activities of the

organization

3. Oversee the capital structure of the company, determining the best mix of debt, equity, and internal financing

4. Oversee accurate and efficient transaction processing, settlement, and financial record-keeping in back office treasury activities to ensure the integrity and compliance of the organisation's financial operations.

5. Identify potential income opportunities through partnership, expansion, cost reduction, or system enhancement

6. Decide how to invest the organisation's funds, taking into consideration risk and liquidity

7. Track cash flows and effectively manage liquidity to meet current and future debts and other obligations, such as payments for goods and services, debt repayment

8. Find and approach potential investors/lenders, and manage the due diligence process

9. Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including profit and loss, forecast vs. budget, and weekly cash flow statements across the organisation

10. Evaluate and finalise financial and accounting software to be implemented that will provide critical financial and operational information efficiently across the organization

11. Work closely with the CEO to achieve the short, medium, and long-term financial objectives

12. Work closely with the Human Resource (HR) department to plan and review staffing requirements, recruitment plan, and compensation strategies

13. Periodically update management/the Board on the financial operations and key performance indicators (KPIs)

14. Liaise with regulatory bodies and government officials, as required

Education: A professional qualification (CA, CFA, etc.) is mandatory. Masters/ Advanced degree in relevant fields such as business, finance, accounting, or related areas is desirable.

Experience:

A minimum of 15 years of total work experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, treasury, investment, or related fields, with at least 10 years of senior corporate managerial experience (previous experience as a CFO/Head of Finance/Director Finance leading a large team at a Bank, HFC, NBFC, or any other relevant financial institution is preferred)
