Job Description:


Purpose of the Position:


- To ensure the financial health of the organisation.

- To lead, manage, and oversee the F&A function at India level.The function includes Accounting, Finance, Management Reporting, and Compliances. It also includes oversight of ERP.

- To support India level leadership on strategic initiatives, business planning, and decision making as part of project teams and/or by providing reliable and timely data, analysis, and insights.

- Oversee smooth running & optimized utility of ERP's with the support of external partners.

About the Function:

- SAP and Navision accounting tools..

- The companies follow the financial year April to March for India compliances and calendar year January to December for group reporting.

- Day to day IT Infrastructure management and support.

- The F&A and IT Infra functions operate within the overall strategy, framework, and policies, adapted within the India context and regulatory framework

Key Result Areas :

Controlling (Budgeting, Accounting, and Management Reporting)

Budgeting:

- Plan and lead the annual business planning exercise under the guidance and supervision of India leadership and in accordance with planning guidelines

- Receive planning inputs from all the departments and prepare the Annual Business Plan

- Submit and present the business plan to India leadership and Controlling as per reporting calendar

Accounting:

- Design, implement and monitor robust accounting policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the function and operation of robust internal controls across the company within the stipulated timelines and applicable Accounting standards

- Build and maintain relationships with auditors and other professional, consulting, and business services providers

Management Reporting:

- Prepare, submit, and present management reports to India leadership and Controlling department in accordance with the reporting calendar

- Periodic review of the financial results with the management. To insist and recommend on improvement actions to achieve continual improvement in the main financial indices.

- Compliances

- Direct and Indirect tax compliances including payment of taxes, filing of returns

- Corporate Law compliances including under the Companies Act, FEMA

- Responding to notices and other representation and litigation matters with support of external consultants and counsel

- Support HR, Admin, Supply Chain, and other departments with their respective compliances as required

- Treasury

- Relationships with banks and financial institutions, including liaison, issue resolution, reporting, and overall smooth functioning to support business needs

- Cash flow planning and management

- Strategic Initiatives

- Contribute as a member of the senior team

- Support strategic initiatives with reliable data, analysis, and insights for decision making on strategic initiatives

- Member of India level leadership team

- Work with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives

- Advise and provide strategic financial recommendations to the management on commercial decision-making, margin analysis, pricing analysis, market changes, etc

- IT Infrastructure and Information Security

- Oversee the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and operations in India in accordance with global guidelines

- Ensure compliance with global IT governance policies and standards

- ERP

- Oversee & optimise the utilization of ERP

Candidate Profile :

- Chartered Accountant /CMA/ MBA Finance

- 11-15 years' experience of which at least 5 years should be in a head of function role

- Strong leadership and managerial skills

- Strong commercial acumen

- Strong numerical and reasoning skills

- Strong inter-personal skills (collaboration, communication, conflict handling, networking, inter-cultural competence)

- Strong communication skills (written, spoken, presentation)

- Executive presence

- Strategic thinking, planning, and creative problem-solving skills

- Understanding the function in the overall context of the business
