CFO (Financial Services) :
- The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a company you have primary responsibility for the planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of a company, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations. Your Responsibility also extend to obtaining and maintaining investor relations and partnership compliance.
As part of an executive management team, the CFO will have interaction with various members of a company, both senior and junior. A CFO job description should include :
- Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
- Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO/president and members of the executive management team
- Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
- Advising on long-term business and financial planning
- Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
- Reviewing all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures
- Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; and accumulating capital to fund expansion.
- Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans.
- Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
- Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community.
- Reports financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements.
- Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Qualification And Experience :
i. CA or MBA or CPA with 15 years' experience in the finance service industry is a must
ii. Strong modeling and forecasting experience
iii. Experience handling banking relationships
iv. Experience negotiating and reviewing contracts
v. Ability to manage multiple projects
vi. A ""player-coach"" who can both manage teams and get into the weeds when necessary
vii. Understand and deal with complex accounting issues, including those unique to a retail business and an online presence
viii. Strong analytical skills and a data driven mindset
ix. Track record of building and developing strong teams
x. Sense of urgency: nothing in the universe will get in the way of delivering your goals
xi. Excellent communication and people skills - numbers are key, but a business is built with people. Relationship building and adept communication are assets in our fast-moving environment
