Role : Chief Financial Officer

Location : Delhi NCR

Job Summary:

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a New Age organization, you will play a critical role in managing the financial operations and ensuring long-term financial success. Reporting directly to the Board, you will provide strategic financial guidance, oversee all aspects of corporate finance, business finance and corporate development. This position provides hands-on exposure in handling real-time issues in a fast-paced, constantly evolving regulatory environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Corporate Finance

- Responsible for all finance and accounting functions, including financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, company audits and compliance.

- Accountable for day-to-day financial operations, all cash & treasury management, internal bookkeeping, taxation related activities, budgeting, and financial reporting to drive the company's EBITDA health and growth.

- Responsible for contributing to the company's goals, objectives, business growth and expansion by providing strategic financial models and develop necessary financial policies and procedures to ensure sound Financial Management and Controls of the business.

Business Finance

- Lead the financial planning and forecasting process, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and assumptions.

- Collaborate with other departments to define budget goals, revenue targets, expense allocations, and capital investment strategies while highlighting areas of improvement, potential risks, and recommended actions.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities, drive cost optimization initiatives, and monitor progress against predetermined targets.

- Collaborate with department heads to establish and manage budgets, providing guidance on financial targets and expense management.

Corporate Development:

M&A: Responsible for identifying potential acquisition targets and evaluating the strategic fit of target M&A companies to the overall strategy. Manage and negotiate deal terms, including valuation, purchase price, and post-acquisition integration plans.

Fundraising: Formulate fundraising strategies, engage with existing investors and develop new investor relationships. Manage fundraising process till completion of the mandate such as term sheet negotiation, due diligence and documentation.

Strategy: Develop a sound understanding of the Fintech sector globally. Proactively monitor the industry trends, deals, opportunities, and threats. Stay current on new products and competitive landscape (top competitors, regulations, emerging segments). Provide insights on market activity and present them to the leadership team.

Educational Qualification & Work Experience:

- CA / MBA ( Finance) with 17 to 24 years of proven experience in a Senior Finance role within a fast-paced new age organization.

- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, analysis, modelling, and forecasting techniques.

- In depth experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), front-end Investment Banking (IB), Fundraising and Corporate Development.

- Good Experience into Investor Relations , Fund Raising & Managing an IPO.

- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.

- Prior experience in Fintech, Financial Services, Financial Institutions or Consumer Internet or New Age Technology Organization is preferred.

- Ownership: Willing to invest in the role as a key team player/partner and go the extra length to support the organization in its growth trajectory

- Negotiation skills: The ability to negotiate deals, contracts, and partnerships that benefit the company and create value for shareholders.

- Analytical skills: The capability to analyse complex data, market trends, and financial models to make informed decisions.

- Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing market conditions, new technologies, and emerging trends. Ability to operate at highest level of strategic thought while being highly reliable at lowest level of detail.
