The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical role in developing and implementing the financial strategy for a Pune-based eBike company. As a member of the senior leadership team, the CFO will serve as an advisor to the CEO and other Functional Heads, evaluating and assisting them with their financial plans and economic modeling. The CFO will lead the capital allocation strategy and ensure that long-term plans align with the short-term business goals.
Responsibilities:
Treasury Management:
- Spearheading fundraising efforts and maintaining relationships with global/domestic Private Equity funds, banks, and NBFCs.
- Leading the fundraising initiatives to ensure visibility of funds and credit limits, supporting the growth of Assets Under Management (AUM) and Cash Flows.
- Representing the company to Institutional Investors, PE firms, Mutual Funds, Banks, FI, FIIs, Rating Agencies, Debenture Trustees, Registrars, and Brokers/intermediaries to secure adequate credit limits.
- Supporting the development of executive-level analysis, briefings, and reports.
- Preparing the organization for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the coming years.
Strategy:
- Assessing organizational performance against annual budgets and long-term business strategies.
- Developing tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information and recommendations on strategy and execution plans.
- Engaging audit and investment committees regarding operational model changes and delivery.
Financial Management and Control:
- Managing all finance and accounting operations.
- Coordinating and directing the budget and financial forecast preparation and reporting of variances.
- Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
- Managing compliance with government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Role Requirements:
- CA and/or MBA (Finance) from premiere institutes preferred with 12-15 years of related experience.
- Openness to travel frequently for fundraising and other financial business strategy initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability and a track record of managing relationships with banks and resource mobilization.
