Chief Financial Officer - CSR Sector

Key Role & Responsibilities:
General Role:
- Support and work closely with the CEO and the team on all activities of the Foundation
- Good command of English and capable of vetting and preparing legal and other documents.
Financial and Operational Management:
- Oversee the financial and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate regulatory requirements. Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities.
- Oversee the audit processes of the Foundation
- Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally.
- Make investment decisions as per the prudential norms and ensure appropriate cash flow.
- Undertake annual budget and sectoral allocation exercise in alignment with the approved strategy plan
- Track the annual commitment and expenditure
- Knowledge of project accounting for large infrastructure projects
Legal, Secretarial and Compliance:
- Oversee all legal documentation including but not limited to grant agreements with non-profit partners, vendor contracts, MOUs, mapping with processes etc.
- Ensure compliance with Income Tax laws relevant to charitable institutions
- A large part of the job will undertake negotiation on costs for activities in projects and review of all financial reports received from audit agencies on programmes
- Ensure internal process and SoP revisions periodically
- Initiate changes to strengthen the governance framework
- Ensure all internal processes are aligned as per the defined process frameworks
- Ensure compliances under statutory laws as applicable to charitable organizations including disclosure requirements. Develop and update policies relating to organization governance and regulatory affairs.
- Responsible for the preparation of all financial reports, fund utilization certificates etc. are prepared order
- Oversee the due diligence and other requirements while onboarding partner agencies
- Knowledge of the social sector and the legal framework that governs the sector
- Oversee the procurement and other vendor related processes
- Build organization capacity for better financial governance and performance.
