Chief Financial Officer

We're recruiting a CFO for one of our Client who is the leader in their field. You will be the strategic partner to the CEO in financial & risk management of the organization, to formulate financial strategies, streamlining organizational processes & monitoring control systems designed to preserve organizational assets & report financial reports. The position reports into the CEO. The incumbent will drive the business growth by successfully handling complexity in an innovation intensive environment. Handled entire gamut of Finance, Accounts, Direct Indirect Tax, Legal, Secretarial, Liaisioning with Banks, FI, FII, Government authorities

Responsibilities:

- Accurate, timely and relevant financial data provided to CEO and the Board

- Directs the preparation of the monthly comprehensive reporting package of results of operations and financial condition for reporting to the CEO and Board.

- Management of the company's cash based on a thorough understanding of its borrowing base and liquidity position

- Manages daily cash position and is responsible for reviewing cash disbursements.

- Responsible for preparing weekly cash forecasts and managing its treasury function

- Production of reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis that identify significant trends and variances

- Creation and analysis of KPIs that identify value-drivers for the business

- Ensuring that obligations to lenders, creditors and vendors are met

- Effective participation on the executive team and provision of expertise to senior managers related to budgets, sales proposals and operational initiatives

- Consistent identification of ideas and opportunities for growing EBITDA across the business

- Have the ability to develop and execute an action plan to grow the business, increase profitability, enhance efficiencies and bring the company to the next level.

- Have the ability to evaluate and perform due diligence on potential acquisitions.

- Recommends and executes special projects to improve the operational and financial performance of the distribution centers and company as a whole.

- Oversees all aspects of company finances and ensures control over company assets and expenditures.

- Maintains the company's system of accounts and recommends new methods for improving efficiency and profitability.

- Ensures the accuracy of accounting systems and financial reporting and develops internal controls and financial reporting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

- Develops a comprehensive and timely budgeting process across the organization.

- Reviews all key contracts and agreements.

Qualification, Experience & Skill Sets:

1. CA with 18-25 years in a senior financial leadership role including management of financial reporting, accounting and cash management. Age less than 50.

2. Private equity experience is required

3. Chartered Accountant with 18+ years of experience and at least last 5 years as a CFO / Finance Controller within a Business Unit

4. A senior management professional in Logistics/FMCG/ Consumer Durable/ Telecom/ Retail/ Service Industry is Preferred.

5. A leader who is commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.

6. Exceptional communication skills at all levels.

7. Adept with strong IT skills and always ahead of new technologies.

8. Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.

9. High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.

10. Energetic, highly motivated, with passion for excellence and innovation, in pursuit of business growth and success.

11. Exposure to PE / VC ecosystem or any other innovation intensive set-up would be advantageous.

12. Excellent understanding of USGAAP, IGAAP and SOX is a must.
