The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive management team and
will report directly to the CEO. The CFO will have primary responsibility for planning,
implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Leadership
- Develop and execute the financial strategy of the company
- Lead financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive
management team
Financial Management:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow
management, and financial reporting
- Ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with all statutory and regulatory
requirements
- Implement and maintain robust financial systems, controls, and processes
Operational Efficiency:
- Manage the finance and accounting teams, ensuring efficient and effective operations
- Oversee financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable,
and procurement
- Optimize financial performance through cost management and efficiency improvements
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency and interest rate risks
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies
- Ensure appropriate insurance coverage is maintained
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and other
stakeholders
- Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, investors, and other
stakeholders
Commercials, Legal & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards
- Oversee tax planning and compliance activities
- Maintain an effective internal control environment
- Oversee legal and regulatory to adhere 100% compliance
Key Requirements:
Experience:
- A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a
senior leadership role, preferably in the Financial Services industry
- Strong knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
- Experience managing complex transactions, from due diligence to legal closure
- In-depth understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best
practices
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to structure transactions effectively
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple mandates
independently
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory
- Experience working in investment banking, corporate M&A, or private equity
