Job Description:
- As part of an senior management team, you will be responsible for planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of a company, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and
- Banking, Fund Management, Taxation, Budgeting, Costing, MIS, Statutory Compliance, Consolidation of Accounts, Audits, P and L reporting etc.
- You will also be responsible for maintaining investor relations and overseeing all secretarial and governance aspects of the organization. The role reports to the CEO and works closely with the senior management for providing guidance and advise on long?term business and financial planning.
- The role is expected to perform and deliver the outlined responsibilities and such other ancillary and allied services as may be essential for the effective performance of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy, Planning and Management:
- Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long?term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.
- Identify, acquire and implement systems/software to provide critical financial and operational information.
- Partner with the various stakeholders on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/ expense analysis.
Financial Management:
- Leading interactions with financial institutions and investors and relationship management with lenders / banks / financial institutions.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for banks, investors and company board of directors.
- Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability. Monitor banking activities, and ensuring adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs.
- Managing relationship and networking with banks for various services
Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss, forecast vs. budget and others.
- Review and analyse monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
- Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget.
- Oversee budgeting, and the implementation of budgets, so as to monitor progress and present operational metrics both internally and externally.
Accounting and Operational Management:
- Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software. Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems and supervise company financial staff.
- Ensure that finance staff maintains financial record systems in accordance with accounting standards.
- To assist with Sales & Operations in reconciling the receivables with the customer and monitor credit management and risk.
- Manage activities across finance teams for following finance functions: FP&A, Controlling, Operations, Treasury and Tax.
- Oversee all internal and statutory audits and continually enhance internal operating controls.
- Monitor and develop internal controls and systems - leveraging use of technology
Compliance:
- Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities.
- Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliations, financial statements and cash flow projections for use by senior management and the Audit/ Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and ensure proper collection and recovery mechanisms.
- Ensure all statutory compliances (applicable to the organization) effectively complied such as Income Tax, GST etc
- Oversee secretarial function to ensure proper reporting and governance all applicable rules and regulations for a public listed company including, handling investor grievances in timely manner, Quarterly board and committee meetings Agendas, Minutes, conducting meetings, Compliance and coordination related to AGM, Companies Act Compliances Maintaining Records & Filings and maintaining Directors Reports, CSR Reports, Annual Returns etc.
- Coordinate with legal / firms for legal issues pertaining to financial, secretarial, regulatory and Tax related matters.
Qualification and Experience:
- Qualified CA with minimum 15 years of experience preferably in publicly listed organization
- Prior experience as a CFO / Finance Head of high growth oriented professionally managed organization.
- Demonstrated leadership in leading and driving efforts of Debt Restructuring/Financial position improvement.
- Leadership in Finance and experience in interaction with cross functional heads to drive business growth and decision making.
- Self directed, agile, innovative, resourceful, and comfortable with operating in ambiguity.
