Role Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee the company's financial strategy, operational finance, compliance, and strategic planning, aiming to drive growth and financial performance across sports items, sportswear, and food products categories. The CFO will collaborate closely with executive leadership to ensure sound financial decision-making, effective cost management, and profitable growth, while leading the finance team to optimize resources and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy & Planning:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy to support the company's growth targets across its sportswear, sports items, and food segments.

- Work closely with the CEO and executive team on strategic initiatives, including market expansion, product diversification, and investment planning.

- Drive financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis:

- Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements for management and board review.

- Conduct financial analysis, performance tracking, and KPI reporting to provide insights into business performance across different segments.

- Ensure the financial integrity of the company's operations through detailed analysis of P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet.

3. Operational Finance & Cost Optimization:

- Manage cash flow, working capital, and fund allocation across all business units.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities in manufacturing, inventory, supply chain, and other areas to improve margins without compromising quality.

- Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to optimize resource allocation and enhance operational efficiency.

4. Risk Management & Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax, GST, and other financial regulations.

- Manage risk by developing risk mitigation strategies for areas such as credit, market fluctuations, and operational risks.

- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance financial accountability.

5. Treasury & Capital Management:

- Optimize capital structure and evaluate financing options for potential expansion, investment, or M&A opportunities.

- Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and investors, overseeing debt management and treasury functions.

- Oversee investment strategies for any surplus funds, ensuring an optimal balance of risk and return.

6. Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to build a high-performing function capable of supporting the company's growth.

- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and financial discipline within the finance team.

- Drive cross-functional collaboration, encouraging finance to support other departments in achieving their objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience:

- 15 +years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior finance role, preferably as a CFO or Financial Controller.

- Strong background in manufacturing, retail, FMCG, or sports goods industries is preferred.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and advanced Excel.

- Working knowledge of ERP systems; familiarity with SAP or Oracle is a plus.

- Strong understanding of Indian tax regulations, GST compliance, and accounting standards.
