Chief Financial Officer (CFO) job description: Job duties and responsibilities.

- Drive the company's financial planning, forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.

- Plan and perform risk management duties by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments.

- Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks

- Provide strategic recommendations to the Managing Director and members of the leadership team.

- Control and evaluate the organizations fundraising plans and capital structure.

- Ensure that the cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations.

- Supervise and manage the team of financial controllers, financial advisors and analysts.

- Manage and retain relationships with various vendors.

- Prepare and present forecasting reports.

- Liaising with the investors for various bi-monthly and quarterly reporting.

- Adhere to the law and company's policies.

- Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; and accumulating capital to fund expansion

- Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans.

- Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

- Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community.

- Update job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

- CA

- Minimum 12 years- experience in accounting and financial management practices.

- Solid GAAP and financial reporting technical skills.

A CFO must display a cohesive ability at interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.

They must be able to engage with staff at all levels of the organization and exercise sound judgement
