Position Overview: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key executive responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and management of the company. This role requires a seasoned financial professional with a deep understanding of the BFSI industry, regulatory environment, and the Indian financial landscape. The CFO will play a crucial role in driving financial growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Assess financial risks and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and board.
2. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Present financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.
3. Treasury and Cash Management:
- Manage liquidity, cash flow, and investment strategies to optimize financial performance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
- Implement effective treasury and cash management policies and procedures.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and ensure the organization's compliance with relevant financial regulations in the BFSI industry.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate regulatory risks.
5. Financial Controls:
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
6. Strategic Financial Decision Support:
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate potential business opportunities and assess their financial viability.
- Collaborate with other executives to align financial goals with overall business strategy.
7. Company Secretarial Function:
- Supervise the Company Secretary function, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
- Oversee the maintenance of statutory records, board meeting processes, and corporate governance practices.
- Act as a liaison between the executive team and the board of directors, facilitating effective communication.
8. Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to finance team members.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputable institution.
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role within the financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian financial regulations and BFSI industry practices preferred
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
