Role:

1. Responsible for overall financial plans and policies. Plans, directs and controls organization's overall plans and policies, accounting practices, relationships with financial institutions and shareholders.

2. Serves as the gatekeeper for all banking operations are monitored and controlled against budget, organization's business are optimally financed, all financial transactions are treated appropriately and accurate financial information is available to support management decision-making.

3. Face of the organization representing results, capabilities and confidence to customers, investors and board

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Formulation and Implementation:

- Works with other members of the executive team to develop, finance and implement organization's growth initiatives and objectives including new offerings

- Develops strategic financial initiatives for the bank that will assist in achieving the goals

Financial Planning and Budget Preparation:

- Initiates and co-ordinates the formulation of business plans and annual budgets, and monitors progress towards their achievement

- Engages senior management teams and various Board Committees to develop short, medium, and long-term financial plans and projections for the organization

Finance Operations:

- Develops and implements a sound accounting framework in compliance with statutory provisions

- Designs and implements a robust and reliable financial reporting system in compliance with statutory requirements

Educational Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant

- Additional qualification such as MBA/Company Secretary preferred but not compulsory

Experience:

- 20-25 years of relevant management experience in Finance, of which at least 10 years' experience in a bank as a Financial Controller/ Head of Finance
