CFO - An Agritech Ecommerce - Bangalore


The CFO will assist on all strategic matters related to management of finance, strategic planning activities, investor relationship, investment analysis and implementation, accounting, tax, legal, compliance, as well as, to ensure necessary and effective controls and procedures remain in place to safeguard all assets and resources.

Responsibility :

- Drive the company's financial planning activities; Ensure accurate reporting and forecasts

- Perform risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments

- Evaluate and control the organization's fundraising plans (including Debt and Equity) and capital structure

- Ensure appropriate cash flow for the organization's operations and growth

- Build a strong Finance team with the right capabilities required for future growth

- Maintaining the Company's finance and accounting practices in accordance with group policies, regulatory and general accepted accounting principles.

- Ensure management and operational policies and procedures for operational activities to be efficient and in-line with approved budgetary allocations, and meet all legal statues.

- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance

- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-term financial planning

- Works with the CEO and Organization to proactively eliminate financial and legal risk to company

- Effectively manage the cash position, capital budgeting, cash flow from operating and financing activities

- Create investor reports and fundraising - prior experience of fund raising desirable

- Provide leadership, direction and management to the finance and accounting team.

- Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial controls and supporting information systems of the corporation, as well as automation of the finance function.

- Oversee and monitor effective tax strategies and statutory and government compliance for the Corporation; GST / TDS / PF / ESIC.

- Work with external auditors and internal stakeholders (BD and finance team, CA) to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end, following up on invoices, GST payments, etc.

Required Skills :

- CA / MBA Finance with at least 12-18 years of experience

- Relevant experience in start-up ecosystem, with accounting/financial control experience and/or fundraising experience.

- Must have experience of working in a senior finance role, including experience of managing a finance team/function.

- In depth knowledge of financial law and risk management practices.

- Prior experience in investor reporting/startup fundraising.

- Strong leadership and organizational skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization

- Must be ambitious, a self-starter and have the general ability to get along with people
