Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
Financial Management and Reporting:
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, tax, and treasury.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Ind-AS.
Risk Management:
- Identify and manage financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Develop and maintain risk management strategies to safeguard the company's assets.
Investor Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and financial institutions.
- Prepare and present financial information to the board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial entities.
Operational Efficiency:
- Evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee the company's financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments to drive cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to build a high-performing finance organization.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth within the finance department.
- Ensure the finance team is aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance or related field;
- 10-15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years exposure in a senior financial management role within the pharma / API industry (preferred but not compulsory)
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial regulations in the pharma sector.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior management, board members, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
