Chief Financial Officer is accountable for ensuring that the Group of Companies maintain efficient and effective financial and operating systems and processes, high service levels and accountability across its core business functions, while continuously seeking to improve resource utilization. The incumbent has senior managerial responsibility for financial management, and strategic and operational performance reviews. The incumbent is a key member of the Senior Management team, providing support and ensuring effective operations of the Group of companies to achieve mission; vision and strategic goals.
Reports to Managing Director
- Responsible for Developing financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services, preparing growth plans, and directing related departments
Principal duties and responsibilities which indicate general nature of work expected, include but not limited to the following:
- Efficient and effective management of the finance function; accuracy and reliability of financial information; and the overall management of the Group of companies funding and expenditure
- Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, identify areas of cost reduction and process enhancement
- Manage investment policies and procedures, and prepare periodical reports to the Managing Director and Board of Directors
- Negotiate or consult on all major transactions, review all contracts and ensure financial efficiency in each company of the group.
- Provide support to the MD in the area of forward work planning, strategic financial management, budgetary analysis and reporting.
- Ensure all renditions, audits and statutory compliance are carried out on time and in line with the Companies Act, all Companies Regulations & Compliance requirements, where all the group is operating. Prepare compliance reports for the Board and the Managing Director as required.
- Establish and review effective management accounting systems and processes
- Structuring, identifying, raising and managing funds of the Group and ensuring efficiency in process excellence
- Undertake the management of Group assets and securities, including tracking investment performance, managing investment policies, preparing monthly and quarterly reports and providing financial statement analysis to the Board and the Managing Director
- Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable financial accounting standards boards and other relevant regulations
- Permanent invitee to the Board of Directors and other Boards as may be required, this may include specific assignments for the board.
- Conduct regular performance review meetings with the Head of Businesses to monitor progress against approve strategic and operational plans
- Liaison with different business heads on behalf of the Managing Director as may be required.
- Establish relationships with the regulatory and financial institutions to support the group activities.
- Formulate annual budgets, complete risk analysis on potential investments, and advise the Managing Director with regard to investment risk and return

Education qualification & Experience :
- Master's degree preferably in Accounting or Financing
- 5+ years experience in executive leadership positions
- Prior experience in finance industry
- Analytical excellence to evaluate data and make operational decision
Knowledge & Experience :
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Experience in consulting, operations or strategic planning
- Visionary and Strategic thinking skills
- Skilled in cost control and optimisation
