JOB PURPOSE:
The Chief Executive - Petrochemical Complex plays a pivotal role in overseeing the management, administration, and manufacturing operations in Maharashtra. The primary responsibilities include achieving targeted production volumes, ensuring plant maintenance, controlling fixed costs, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Additionally, the role involves providing strategic guidance to the Board, mitigating risks, optimizing costs, and enhancing reliability improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy & Planning:
1. Develop organizational and people strategy, aligning with production plans, workforce requirements, and risk assessments.
2. Lead operations strategy implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
3. Drive reliability improvement initiatives to minimize risks and optimize costs.
4. Oversee manufacturing processes to achieve budgeted price, volume, and quality benchmarks.
Site Operations:
1. Administer site operations including jetty operations for raw material transportation, ensuring achievement of production targets.
2. Govern quality standards, ensuring 100% compliance with business guidelines.
3. Drive cost-saving initiatives in process, operating expenditure, and equipment maintenance to enhance productivity.
4. Monitor production, productivity, breakdowns, and quality reports for timely interventions.
5. Lead civil projects and contract negotiations, ensuring cost-effective execution and compliance.
HSE, IR & Admin:
1. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines, aiming for zero LTI incidents.
2. Drive sustainability and ESG initiatives for optimum resource use and environmental compliance.
3. Implement security protocols to safeguard personnel and assets.
4. Represent the organization in industry collaborations, advocacy, and regulatory compliance.
People and Leadership:
1. Cascade performance objectives to the leadership team and conduct regular performance reviews.
2. Define and implement people objectives for the organization.
3. Champion digitization and automation to improve organizational efficiency.
4. Define and drive the mission, vision, and culture of the organization.
REQUIREMENT & SKILLS:
Minimum Education Qualification:
- MBA/B.E. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Minimum Experience (in years):
- Good to Have: 20 - 25+ years of experience in end-to-end factory operations in petrochemical or allied industries, with at least 5+ years in an executive position encompassing manufacturing, ESG, finance, people leadership, and strategic planning.
