Chief Executive Officer - Steel Manufacturing

The CEO will report to the Board of Directors and:

Steel Manufacturing Organization Experience is MUST.

- Provide worldwide leadership for all aspects of the company (internal and external).

- Profitably expand the company's existing strong market positions around the world.

- Develop and execute a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.

Specific priorities to include:

- Analysis of markets/product segments to identify/validate most profitable niches and capabilities vis a vis competitors

- Go-to-market strategy and aggressive management of the Sales function

- Enhanced engineering/manufacturing strategy to reduce product costs while maintain industry leading performance levels

- Oversee creation of Product Development/Technology roadmap for specific markets

- Improve organizational effectiveness through strong process development and metrics tracking and accountability

- Optimization of worldwide manufacturing operations

- Must be strong hands on production processes.

- Sales and marketing effectiveness

- Financial metrics

- Operational efficiency

- Product development and manufacturing costs

- Purchasing/Supply Chain Management

- Quality

- Service

- Cost-effective management of all overhead resources

- Identify attractive acquisition opportunities and manage related integration activities.

- Previous experience as a CEO required

- Track record of success in effecting a change in culture and profitable business growth

- Biased towards Sales vs. Operations; however, fully comfortable in both functional areas

- Ready willingness to interact with customers in support of sales efforts; clear ability and energy to travel globally in support of sales and management initiatives

- Solid understanding of technologies in a manufacturing environment.

Candidates MUST have experience in Commodities. Industry and product experience must be clearly stated on your resume. Ideal candidates will have global sales experience.
