Chief Executive Officer - Research & Outreach

Responsibilities:

- Support towards being a state-of-the-art inter-disciplinary research institution and serve as a platform to promote strong research collaborations and knowledge sharing

- Network with the industry; public and private corporations, government institutions, research institutions and other academic institutions and focus on securing consultancy and research projects with them

- Maintain close relations with the industry and act as a liaison to promote industrial collaborations with institutions involving active and mutually beneficial R & D projects

- Develop a mechanism for allotting the projects secured to group institutions in an unbiased and transparent method

- Work with all key stakeholders in the institutions and prepare an annual list of initiatives and targets. Analyze and review the outcomes of them on a regular basis and take measures accordingly

- Work with the human resources department and build a team to fulfil the targets set for outreach activities

- Represent in research seminars, conferences and workshops across India and also promote research seminars, conferences and workshops to be conducted in institutions

- Foster academic relationships with other reputed academic and research institutions, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, corporations, etc. both in India and abroad

- Prepare an annual research budget and oversee allocation and utilization of resources necessary for promoting research activities

- Administrate rules and regulations as per the service rules, codes of conduct and laws of the institution to ensure honest and efficient functioning in the institution

Management Expectations:

- Fulfil the targets which shall be set by the management for parameters such as number of research projects secured, research funding amount received, number of consultancy projects secured, consultancy funding amount received, etc.
