Chief Executive Officer - NGO

The CEO is responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial health of the organization. He will work closely with the Trustee's & Advisory Board Members to ensure that the organization's mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning, and community outreach. CEO should be aligned with the Trustees' vision and growth plan for the organization.

Leadership & Strategy:

- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the organization's vision and mission

- Provide direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives.

- Foster a culture of service to society, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

- Forward looking outlook, to plan for the next 5-7 years leveraging the changing trends in external environment, e. g- AI, Digital, future of livelihoods etc.

Operational Oversight:

- Oversee the organization's operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources to create the desired impact.

- Readiness to work with and achieve challenging targets and year on year growth plans.

- Should be totally process driven and ensure adherence to processes from the entire including daily reporting.

- Ensure the organization's programs and services are aligned with its mission and strategic plan.

Financial Management:

- Develop annual budgets for Trustee's approval and manage the organization's resources within those budget guidelines.

- Ensure the fiscal integrity of the organization, including timely submission to the Trustees of the proposed annual budget and monthly and quarterly reports.

Fundraising & Development:

- Help develop and implement fundraising plans that support the organization's long-term financial sustainability.

- Identify and secure funding sources, including grants, donations, and partnerships

- Establish and maintain relationships with donors, foundations, and other potential funding sources.

Public Relations & Advocacy:

- Serve as one of the key spokespersons for the organization, promoting its mission and programs to stakeholders.

- Build and maintain relationships with key community leaders, policymakers, and other nonprofit organizations.

Human Resources:

- Oversee the recruitment, employment of all personnel, both paid staff and volunteers.

- Ensure that job descriptions are developed, regular performance evaluations are held, and sound human resource practices are in place.

- Develop a succession plan for the key departments.

- Provide guidance to HR dept on designing compensation structures, incentive schemes and recognition programs to build a motivated and engaged team.

Program and Service Delivery:

- Ensure programs and services align with the organization's mission and strategic goals.

- Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the organization's programs and services.

- Strategic, operational and execution skills

- Experience in handling scale

- Passion for creating social impact

- Willingness to be actively involved in the field and interact with field resources and rural enablers and good understanding of the rural eco-system, etc.

- Ability to handle a large team and lead and motivate them, in their respective roles, while steering efforts towards the organizational vision and mission

- Ability to network and reach out to potential w donors and sustain relationships with existing donors

- Ability to understand technology and digital developments and harness them for operational efficiencies and social impact

- Sharp understanding of finances, costs and balance sheet

- Successful tenure and track record in corporate/government service/NGOs as the case may be
