- We are hiring a Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board for a leading MNC setting up its manufacturing operations in India.

Job Location: Mangalore and Chennai.

Job Type: Full Time Interim Role.

Job Duration: Minimum 24 months (direct payroll of the client) Could convert to a permanent role post 24 months timeframe.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:.

- The incumbent must be able to exude positivity and encouragement to galvanize a team behind a shared vision.

Ensuring Bottom-Line Profitability:.

- Achieve the budgeted revenue, margin, and profitability measures as laid out in the company's budgets as approved by the board from time to time,.

- Work closely with the CFO to prepare annual budgets, develop a solid cash flow projection reporting mechanism, which includes setting a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs, among others.

- Directing the activities of the business while ensuring bottom-line profitability.

- Provide resources to the team for implementing the strategic plan as approved by the board so as to ensure that the business operates efficiently from a financial perspective.

- Plan cost-effective business strategies and develop new ideas based on market and industry changes/evolution.

- Guiding and maintaining the performance of the company.

Board & Shareholders:.

- MD provides strategic advice to the Board of Directors and sets the tone for the Board to foster ethical, legal, and responsible decision making, appropriate management, and best-in-class corporate practices.

- Establishing company direction, aligned with the board and shareholder's goals.

- Communicating company's reports and achievements to the board, shareholders, and business partners.

- Liaising with directors to ensure a consistent approach to running the organization.

- Analyst Interactions, solo or along with the Leadership team, as appropriate depending on the purpose of such analyst interactions.

Strategic Initiatives:.

- Preparing long-term and short-term strategic plans/programs with goals and company objectives.

- Leading strategy formulation for new development and clients.

- Carry out data analysis to identify industry trends, draw conclusions and evolve strategies /programs as company response to the evolving business direction.

- Analysing problematic situations & occurrences, and providing solutions to ensure the company's survival and growth.

Relationships Management:.

- Actively build and manage relationships with the customers with a view to cross-sell, up-sell, and/or mitigate business/project risks, if any.

- Establishing relationships with industry and marketing experts, thought leadership through publication and building the company public profile through networking, conferences, and speaking engagements.

- Actively build and manage relationships with the government representatives and bodies.

- Along with the CFO, actively build and manage relationships with capital funding bodies like banks, NBFIs, PEs, and big Investors.

- Actively build and manage relationships with the strategic partners to ensure continuity and growth of the business.

Reviewing & Guiding Operations:.

- Defining operational goals and making sure that the organization works towards achieving them.

- Develop reporting tools to monitor the ongoing performance of the company.

- Making key decisions regarding the organization and being accountable for those decisions.

- To develop and maintain an effective organizational structure for the Corporation by delegating to senior management the functions and responsibilities required to run the operations and growth of the Corporation while retaining oversight and ultimate responsibility for the discharge of these functions.

- To ensure that the organization's leadership maintains a constant awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customer base, markets, new industry developments and standards, and so forth.

- Implementing the policies of a company and making sure that they are adhered to.

- Carrying out appropriate market research in order to make informed strategic decisions.

People Management:.

- Develop reporting tools to monitor People's performance, Leadership Development, and Succession Planning for - business-critical resources.

- Supervising senior executives, managers, and providing leadership and motivation to all employees.

- Leadership Team Anticipating, selecting, and hiring senior leaders ahead of the requirement.

- To foster a culture that promotes ethical practices and encourages individual integrity across the organization.

- To maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining, and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels.

Risk Monitoring & Management:.

- Build appropriate Risk mitigation strategies to mitigate any risk to the business, company's brand equity, and shareholders confidence.

- Introducing initiatives to optimize market opportunities and the use of strengths while minimizing risks.

- In addition to the above accountabilities/expectations from the role, Board may assign other responsibilities from time to time.

Experience & Education:

- Strategic and operational planning capability.

- Results-driven with excellent Project/Program Management Skills.

Qualification:

- Ideally with an experience of 28 to 30 years with the last 7 to 8 years as an MD or CEO leading a large group/company/Business unit highly desired in a Manufacturing major.

- International work experience (Japanese Organization) will be an advantage.

Education - MBA from a reputed Business School in India or Overseas would be an added advantage.
