Job Brief :

An energetic, driven, innovative and seasoned business leader to be the Chief Executive Officer of our successful, profitable and well-established Vietnam operations. The role presents significant opportunities for organic and inorganic growth. The ideal candidate will have astute business acumen, be a prudent manager and be an inspiring leader with the ability to see the - big picture- and possess strong execution skills. He/she will steer the company to long-term growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Overall management of safe, profitable and growth-oriented activities of the wood-working factory

- Establish business strategies and set annual financial and performance goals for each area of the business and priorities for the functional areas

- Drive sales in US and other export markets

- Manage and supervise trading activities of the company in Vietnam including timber

- Establish new trading activities that leverage on the organisation's strengths and capabilities

- Review financial and non-financial, operating and management reports regularly to identify improvement opportunities

- Maintain Business relations with existing Bankers with support from Head office in Singapore.

- Ensure legal, tax and regulatory compliance at all times

- Ensure good corporate governance and compliance with internal controls and group policies

- Work closely with senior management and other peers in the group company for strategy development, planning and execution

- Uphold organisation's integrity, goodwill and brand internally as well as within the corporate circle and with relevant government agencies

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


- At least 10 years working experience with minimum 5 years in a leadership role (CEO, Country Head, Senior Manager, Team Head or equivalent), with age bracket between 35 and 45

- Proven experience in profitable management business(es), strong business acumen and business development skills

- Experience in wood-working factories and/or general trading will be advantageous

- Effective delegator and a team player

- Strong communication, inter-personal and team-building skills

- Strong managerial skills with the ability to mentor and support other team members

Compensation: An attractive package commensurate with the experience and potential of the candidate will be offered. The compensation will be tied to the candidate's success in the company.
