Chief Digital Officer - Mumbai - for a Leading Education Group

The Position :

The company is seeking a Chief Digital Officer (CDO) who can oversee a whole range of digital strategies and initiatives, extract value and drive change across the organisation. In essence, the CDO, working alongside other C-level leaders, will be responsible for transforming the company into a high-performing digital enterprise.

The CDO will be expected to move beyond basic digital experiments and embark on a fundamental and integrated transformation of the business, ranging from channels, processes, data, and operating models to culture, development of new revenue streams, cutting costs and getting to market faster.

The CDO will work with the Company's Senior Management and the Board of Directors to plan and execute long-term strategy for value creation through experimentation, mapping and understanding of customer decisions, process automation, agile collaborative processes, technology development, and data analytics

The Job Responsibilities :

- The candidate should have experience developing new and innovative business models across all digital channels, including mobile, SAAS-based web and the Internet of Things.

- Creating and executing the digital vision and enterprise strategy for digital transformation by designing, implementing and maintaining the company's technology and digital vision, strategy and project roadmap that involves making digital integral to business strategy.

- As a seasoned general manager, he or she should have P&L experience as well as excellent negotiation skills.

- Assess business models and identify new revenue opportunities through bold initiatives but within brand, market, user, financial, and technology constraints.

- Driving the organisation towards data-driven strategy and execution by developing a detailed view of end-user behaviour and journeys across all channels, platforms and content,

Education and Experience :

- Bachelors/Master's degree from Tier 1 institutions, preferably in a technical, quant-intensive field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, High Performance Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering or similar.

- MBA/Masters in Business degrees from a Tier 1 institution backed by significant experience in digital transformation will also be considered.

- 15+ years of experience in digital and technology strategy, of which 5+ years in an executive leadership role reporting to C-suite, managing multiple teams, projects and initiatives.

- Digital general management or product management experience with track record of success at a media, consumer technology, digital publishing or in an internet company.
