Introduction To The Role :

- The candidate should be highly energetic and self-driven individual to play the role of a Chief Ecommerce Architect providing Technology leadership to our global customer's large Digital Commerce transformation initiatives.

Experience : 18 - 20 years in IT Industry

Competencies Expected :

- The individual must be a practicing architect working in leading IT consulting and service provider organization with very strong experience in

Domain : Must be a SME in eCommerce domain across different segments (Grocery, Fashion and Apparel, Specialty, General Merchandise etc.) of business covering the entire spectrum of functions ranging from Channels (Online, Mobile Call Center etc.), Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing etc.

Enterprise Architect : Should have good understanding of the domain and IT systems used in industries like retail and CG, travel and hospitality, manufacturing and logistics and possess a breadth of knowledge and experience in complex and large IT program implementation

eCommerce Architect : Should be a guru in eCommerce solution blueprinting using architectural patterns and building application, data and integration architecture models. Should be an expert in architecting very high volume ecommerce applications

Strategic Consulting : Executed consulting assignments sponsored by C-Level Leadership team in defining IT strategy, architecture, technology/platform evaluation, high level plans for implementation

eCommerce Platforms : Must be SME in at least TWO ecommerce platforms like Oracle-ATG, IBM WCS, Hybris, Demandware, and Magento. Possess hands-on experience in implementation of multiple Large Ecommerce programs on the platforms

Performance Engineering :

- Must have in-depth experience in performance engineering of large volume applications - architecting, design and implementation for Performance, Scalability, Availability and Resilience; Ability to do Performance load modeling, analyzing and define solutions for issues identified in performance testing, capability to conduct performance assessment of online applications, detailed root cause analysis, identify solutions to problems, implementation plan and execution

MIicro Services & PaaS Platform : Should have direct hands-on experience in implementation of at least one program in micro services architecture using Netflix and Spring Frameworks. Any experience in working on PaaS platforms is desirable

Cloud Solutions : Must have direct experience in eCommerce implementation of least one cloud provider like AWS, Azure, and Rackspace etc. Experience in Private cloud and Hybrid cloud solutions is highly desirable

Digital Skills : Experience in new age digital technologies like Hadoop framework, NoSQL DB, Machine Learning, Social Commerce, Chatbot, Personalization etc. is a MUST

Digital marketing : Experience in Digital marketing domain and platform are desirable - campaign management, A/B and Multi-variate testing, social marketing Ecommerce Launch and Stabilization: Very strong experience (at least 2-3 of them) in taking new eCommerce solutions live and leading teams during post go-live stabilization period

Operations support : Good knowledge/experience in operations support processes like ITIL, SLAs, metrics etc.

Software Engineering Models & Processes : Expert in various Software Engineering methodologies, specifically Agile and Iterative models

Global Delivery Model : Working experience with teams coming from different cultures and regions

Regulations/standards : Must be aware of implementing regulatory compliance standards like PCI etc.

Infrastructure: Must have experience in infra sizing for different environments (production and pre-prod is a must) of different eCommerce platforms in cloud and on premise data centers. Should be experienced in infra solutions for different cloud providers like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud

Client facing skills : Should be very experienced in interacting with the customer leadership team

Communication : Exception oral and written communication skills and very good interpersonal skills

Leadership : Should have led teams of senior architects in multiple engagements

DevOps : Should have implemented DevOps toolset and processes in ecommerce programs or similar domains covering CI and CD

Software Tools : Should have hands-on experience using different tools across the SDLC like IBM Rational tools (RSA, RAD, Eclipse, JDeveloper etc.), Open source tools (ANT, Maven, Junit/JTest, Jprobe etc)

Build, Release, Deployment and Configuration Management: Should be highly familiar with processes in these areas and tools that can be used - SVN, GIT, Chef/Puppet/Ansible etc.

Software Platforms : Should be experienced in using HTTP servers (Apache, IBM http server etc.), App Servers (JBOSS, WebLogic, WAS etc.), DB platforms (Oracle, DB2, MySQL), Middleware platforms (MQ/MB, TIBCO etc.)

eCommerce Launch & Stabillization : Very strong experience (at least 2-3 of them) in taking new ecommerce solutions live and leading teams during post go-live stabilization period

Operations Support : Good knowledge/experience in operations support processes like ITIL, SLAs, metrics etc.
