Role Description:
- The Chief Development Officer (CDO) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic planning and execution of development projects to ensure alignment with the organization's business goals.
- The CDO will plan and supervise a wide range of warehouse construction projects ranging from 20 to 150 acres from start to finish and will be responsible for organizing, directing and overseeing construction procedures and ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget and as per the required standards. This will include collaborating closely with procurement and contracting and leading the development of detailed project plans, assigning tasks and activities, and coordinating with teams of engineers, architects, developers, contractors and other staff.
- The CDO has to be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.

- Strategy & Planning
- Work directly with the CEO, and C-level executives to facilitate
- Ones short and long-term strategic and financial plans.
- Ensure best-in-class project plans, accurate budget estimates and cost controls for all projects; drive knowledge transfer & best practices across regions
- Project Management Oversee the execution of development projects to meet annual targets.
- Ensure timely execution of projects with adherence to quality, schedule and utilization plans.
- Manage the cost of project execution within budgeted costs.
- Operations management & process excellence
- Responsible for implementation of SOPs, processes and governance mechanisms across Projects function
- Provide steer across project lifecycle stages via robust industry and functional understanding
- Oversee project planning & scheduling, budgeting, designing, contracting & procurement, construction, QHSE and PMO for all projects
- Supervise all internal & external teams to deliver progress as per plan- jointly accountable for sub-functions (along with respective heads)
- Facilitate project mgmt. and coordination across departments and coordinate team responsibilities to meet deadlines and goals
- Ensure timely identification and resolution of project risks
- Oversee implementation of latest construction methodologies in collaboration with Region Head / Regional engineering team
- Ensure adoption of critical cost excellence initiatives and value engineering across different projects; lead the central office to drive cost efficiency.
- Drive best practice sharing and synergies across regions for Project
- Management Consultant (PMC), contractors and vendor management
- Ensure that all projects related activities comply with company
