Chief Data Scientist - Digital Business - Financial Services Group

- Our client is a leading financial services group and is part of a large Indian conglomerate. They are growing rapidly and are looking to hire a chief data scientist who is passionate to make cutting-edge changes to the way financial services is delivered in India.

Job Description :

- Chief Data Scientist will be responsible to establish the future technical product vision and lead all aspects of the technology product development. You would need to go beyond traditional boundaries should be passionate to make cutting-edge changes to the way financial services is delivered in India.

Some of your key responsibilities shall be :

- Define data structures required and identify their sources

- Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems

- Extend company's data with third party sources of information when needed

- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis

- Develop ingenious and robust state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to establish credit worthiness and risk of an applicant

- Use big data to identify qualified leads and pass them to the customer acquisition team

- Measure impact of all deliveries and back it up with appropriate data. Constantly iterating on product offerings based on feedback & data

- Create new offerings by demonstrating cohesive end-to-end thinking and partner closely with cross functional teams to define the work required to successfully deliver and realize a winning offering

- Strategize and think about new ways to leverage traditional and big data

- Track interesting trends on emerging product offerings that are relevant to business

- Build, and manage an outstanding product team, and keep them motivated

The Successful Applicant :

As a successful candidate, you will :

- A PhD/Post Doc (Optional) or a Post-Graduate in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Econometrics, Management Science and related fields from a Top Tier institution like IITs, IIMs, ISI, MDI, DSE, XLRI, FMS or a top Global school

- Have 7+ Years of experience across advanced Analytics and Data Sciences

- Be hands-on with Statistical and Big Data tools like Weka, NumPy, Hadoop Ecosystem, Python, R, SAS

- Be well versed with Deep Learning and Machine Algorithms like Random Forests, Support Vector Machines, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Text Mining etcetera

- Experience with data visualization tools, such as D3.js, GGplot, etc
