Job Purpose:
- To build and sustain a robust compliance and secretarial policy framework for achieving organisational objectives
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance of regulatory / supervisory directions given by regulatory bodies, including RBI and SEBI, in letter as well as in spirit, and in a time-bound and sustainable manner
- Providing opinions, applicability and interpretation of various laws, rules and regulations touching the Organisation's business matters, including the RBI Regulations, Companies Law etc
- Assist the Board and senior management in overseeing implementation of compliance policies and procedures, prescriptions in compliance manuals, and internal codes of conduct.
- Identify compliance risks for the NBFC by analysing existing / new products and processes
- Apprise the organisation of compliance failures, if any, along with suggested improvement measures to be implemented
- Attend to compliance with directions from other regulators in cases where the activities of the entity are not limited to the regulation/supervision of RBI
- Provide directions and clarifications to the organisation and serve as a reference point for the staff from operational departments for seeking clarifications / interpretation of various regulatory and statutory guidelines.
- Be the nodal point of contact between the NBFC and regulators / supervisors and shall be a participant in discussions held with SEBI and/or RBI.
- Communicate compliance to regulatory bodies with regards to their inspection reports
- Handle the drafting, negotiation and finalization of various risk participation agreements both funded and unfunded
- Oversee the secretarial function, guide the Company Secretary and lead the management discussions/responses on legal, regulatory secretarial, compliance matters at Board/ Sub Committees
