Chief Business Officer - Power Trading Firm

Opportunity for Chief Business Officer with one of the Leading Companies in Power trading based in Mumbai.

Position Summary:

- This position is a key member of the executive leadership team.

- Lead the Business Development function to drive top-line growth and expand market share.

- Develop and execute strategic initiatives for sustainable business growth.

- Strengthen and nurture relationship across Thought Leaders, Policy Makers, Government agencies, Regulators and Market participants.

- Identify, develop & advocate enabling policies for sectoral development & business growth.

- Collaborate with policy makers, regulatory bodies, market participants, and industry stakeholders.

- Ensure alignment with evolving dynamic market needs and industry trends.

- Provide thought leadership and present white papers on future developments in critical forums which matter.

- Ensure self-development with changing market scenarios.

- Participate and ensure strategy into rolling business plan.

- Responsible for P&L.

Stakeholder Engagement & Policy Advocacy:

- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Ministry of Power (MoP), regulatory bodies (CERC, CEA, BEE, GOI, and State Regulators), professional bodies, market intermediaries, and influencers.

- Advocate for favorable regulatory and policy changes to promote market growth and innovation.

Qualifications:

- B.E/ B.tech and a full-time MBA from a reputed institution.

Experience:

- Minimum 15 years of experience in the power / energy sector, with expertise in power trading, market operations, or power sales.

- Proven track record in business development leadership roles with demonstrated success in

scaling businesses.

- Previous experience in exchange infrastructure or similar environments is preferred.

- Deep understanding of power markets, transactions, and regulatory frameworks.

- Proven networking ability.

- Proven sectoral development record.
