Chief Business Officer - Luxury Fashion Retail/Portal - Mumbai
We are hiring the Business Head - Retail for a luxury omni-channel brand that is well-funded and primed for its next level of growth. Backed by reputed investors, it is already a leader in its space. The focus for the coming years will be on scaling the business.
Location : Mumbai. The role requires frequent travel to Delhi / other locations within India.
Reporting to : promoters / MD
Responsibilities :
- Oversee all retail operations for the brand (stores across Mumbai and Delhi), including P&L management, growth strategy, sales, daily operations, merchandise planning, inventory rotation, and customer relationship management.
- Plan budget and deliver on key financial targets, including revenues across stores, gross margin, overheads, profitability.
- Automate processes wherever possible; implement technologies to drive efficiencies within the business.
- Build a cohesive, high performance, results-oriented team that shares a strong sense of purpose, is passionate about winning, and consistently achieves targets.
Experience / Attributes :
- At least 8-10 years senior management experience in retail business (preferably fashion).
- Successful management experience with responsibility for a senior management team.
- Track record of delivering top line revenue growth and bottom line performance with a strategic sales and marketing plan and by creating operational efficiencies. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a business strategy, driving actions from a keen understanding of customer needs.
- An inspiring leader who can energize and motivate the team, instill a sense of purpose, drive a feeling of team spirit, and lead the organization to the next level.
- Demonstrated ability to grasp and implement innovative ideas found in other markets / high growth companies. Acting with a sense of urgency.
- Open-minded, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong ethical values are a must; unquestionable personal and professional integrity.
- Hands-on, detailed-oriented, and process-driven approach to problem solving.
- Mature attitude, capable of commanding the respect and cooperation from all stakeholders.
