Our Client is a recently established mining firm who is developing a portfolio of mining assets across minerals in India. Our Company has already acquired comprehensive mining exploitation rights for an iron ore and quartz mine in Andhra Pradesh. Similar rights are being negotiated for limestone, bauxite and dolomite mines. Long term supply contracts with leading customers are in final stages of negotiation for the iron ore and quartz mines. Our Company has been set up by a group of individuals with experience in mining industry, finance and real estate development.

Job Description

- Responsibility of overall accounting and finance function of the firm

- Develop processes and controls and establish and operate the firm’s accounting system

- Recruit, train and motivate a team of accounts assistants

- Allocate work responsibilities within the accounting and finance department and monitor the team

- In charge of all compliance requirements and working knowledge essential for Value Added Tax, Central Service Tax, Income Tax, Service Tax etc.

- Responsibility to deal with auditors, tax consultants, company law consultants and related service professionals

- Utilization of technology with a view to bring efficiencies in the accounting and reporting systems

- Understanding internal reporting requirements and developing reporting systems to support management decisions. Preparation of budgets and projections Interacting with bankers for financing facilities,

- Overall administrative responsibility

Candidate Profile

Must have :

1. Minimum CA (Inter) or CA with post qualification experience of minimum of 10 years of which 3 years should be as Chief Accountant – preferably in trading/manufacturing industry

2. Working knowledge of computers, Internet etc.

Background from Metals & mining industry.
