Chief Academic Officer - Sports Based University

Chief Academic Officer (CAO) for a sports-based university

The incumbent would be reporting to the Advisory board which would comprise of promotor, senior mgt, senior personality from sports industry etc

Strategy and Leadership:

- Develop a strategic and operational plan that is aligned to the vision for the University.

- Lead the University in its academic planning and in setting of academic goals, driving the value system, policies and practices

- Providing guidance to the VC/PVC/Dean, Advisory Board and is accountable for regularly evaluating academic process, faculty interventions, creating the system driven approach to academic and academic administration policy planning and development

Academic Course Development:

- Provides Academic leadership and oversees the implementation of the University's Academic Plan

- Provides leadership to the conduct of admissions and financial aid for students, and is responsible for oversight of the quality and practices associated with undergraduate, graduate, and professional study at the University

- Provides oversight to the conduct of research and scholarship, and works to stimulate a high level of scholarly productivity on the campus

- Oversee the administrative practices associated with enrolment, course offerings, tuition, and student fees, and of the policies and values which guide these endeavors

Governance:

- Conducting meeting of the different Boards, setting the agenda, capturing minutes and coordination with members

- Attend to Visitor, State Govt. responsibility in accordance with the Act, Statutes and regulations

- Exercise the administrative powers as delegated from time to time and to correspond with Government departments, and other institutions, etc.
