Job Description - As Chemical Engineer Lead (Digital Innovation), you will be part of the remote monitoring center in Chennai and lead a team of skilled chemical engineers who are creating and using advanced tools to monitor our customer facilities around the world in the Paper, Water, Leather and Performance Chemicals sectors.

Description

As Chemical Engineer Lead (Digital Innovation), you are a skilled chemical engineer with managerial experience to join client's remote monitoring center in Chennai, India.

The range of responsibilities includes include but not limited to:

- Detecting, diagnosing and responding in real time to system anomalies, optimising system performance remotely, assisting with installation and commissioning, handling device management, assisting with user acceptance testing etc

- Working with key stakeholders in the sales and service front to ensure the client is managing systems consistently, and efficiently



- Supporting the innovation of new digital offering solutions and POC projects that are in the pipeline

- Hiring, training and motivating talent, ensuring efficient operations, and creating and reporting key performance metrics to enable continuous improvement

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Chemical Engineer Lead (Digital Innovation) should have:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or related field from a reputed university



- Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related engineering/technical field

- 8+ years of hand-on direct experience in chemical engineering field (water, pulp and paper, etc.) 5+ years of experience providing technical leadership in chemical manufacturing processes and unit operations

- Hand-on experience leading and managing digital teams engaged in remote monitoring or data analytics development

- Expertise in open-source data analytics toolsets such as R, Python, MATLAB, etc, as well as advanced excel

- Exposure to Internet of Things Applications

- Exposure to data analytics and visualisation platforms such as Minitab, RapidMiner, PowerBI, KNIME, etc
