Position Overview:
- As a Chartered Accountant , you will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Reporting to the [appropriate managerial position], you will be responsible for overseeing various financial activities and providing strategic insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely reporting to management.
- Coordinate and facilitate the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic financial forecasts and targets.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and present findings to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws, and oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory authorities, ensuring timely completion of audits and resolution of any issues or discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Provide financial guidance and support to cross-functional teams, assisting with decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to inform business strategies and optimize financial performance.
- Mentor and train junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the finance team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Chartered Accountant (CA) designation preferred.
- 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards, including IFRS and GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e. g. , SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- CPA or other relevant certifications a plus.
