- GST Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns in compliance with local tax laws and regulations. Monitor changes in GST legislation and update internal stakeholders on potential impacts. GST Planning: Develop and implement GST planning strategies to optimize the organization's indirect tax position. Provide guidance on legal and effective ways to minimize GST liabilities. Input Tax Credit Management: Oversee the management of Input Tax Credit (ITC) processes, ensuring compliance with GST laws.


- Implement controls to maximize eligible ITC claims. GST Audits and Assessments: Manage and represent the organization during GST audits and assessments. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to address audit queries and findings. Advisory Services: Provide strategic advice on GST implications for various business transactions, contracts, and financial activities.


- Analyze the GST impact of proposed initiatives and recommend optimal structures.


- GST Reporting: Prepare and review GST-related financial reports for internal and external purposes. Ensure accurate and transparent disclosure of GST information in financial statements. Reverse Charge Mechanism: Ensure compliance with reverse charge mechanisms under GST for applicable transactions. Provide guidance on the correct application of reverse charge provisions. Collaboration with External Consultants: Work with external tax consultants and advisors to obtain specialized expertise as required.


- Ensure seamless collaboration and transfer of knowledge. Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain comprehensive documentation of GST positions, transactions, and compliance records. Establish a systematic recordkeeping system for GST-related documents. Internal Training: Conduct training sessions for internal teams to enhance understanding of GST regulations and implications. Keep relevant departments informed about changes in GST laws that may impact their functions.


- Qualifications: Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is essential. Additional qualifications such as a Masters in Taxation or a relevant certification is advantageous. Experience: Substantial experience in GST planning, compliance, and advisory roles. Experience in handling GST audits and assessments. Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local and regional GST laws and regulations.


- Familiarity with GST compliance requirements and reporting obligations. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex GST issues. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex tax matters to non-specialist stakeholders.


- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory authorities. Ethical Conduct: Adherence to high ethical standards in handling sensitive tax information.
