Job Description:
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
- Coordinate and prepare all required federal, state, local, and private grant applications and reports
- Oversee the hospital's billing department to ensure timely and accurate billing of patients, insurance companies, and government agencies
- Work with the hospital's chief financial officer to develop long-term strategic plans for the financial growth of the organization
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the board of directors
- Manage the hospital's investment portfolio and endowment fund
- Analyze trends, advise hospital management, and make recommendations on the financial impact of proposed policies, programs, and actions
- Negotiate and coordinate all aspects of the hospital's financing arrangements with banks, venture capitalists, and other lending institutions
- Serve as a liaison between the hospital and auditing services, ensuring that all required audits are conducted in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Perform special projects and analyses as requested by the hospital administration
