Role Purpose: The jobholder is responsible for recording and reconciling post financial transactions and reconciles accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance to all internal/regulatory protocols.
Key Accountabilities
Financial Statements:
- Prepare key financial statements for a specific area of finance activity to ensure that accurate and timely information is provided to internal and external customers and representatives.
Financial Reconciliation:
- Reconciling financial data according to stated schedules so that the company remains aware of its financial position on an on-going basis and statutory reports can be produced within internal and statutory time limits.
Transaction Processing:
- Process ledger and booking entries according to stated procedures so that all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
Procedural Compliance:
- Ensure that all transactions and reports are processed according to internal procedures and guidelines so that the company fulfils all statutory reporting requirements.
Report Preparation:
- Prepare reports from statistical and financial information according to stated schedules so that all required information is available for review in a timely manner.
Data Accuracy:
- Identify, investigate and rectify routine errors and anomalies in data and reports so that all financial data can be relied upon.
Internal Customer Service:
- Prepare guidance as required to other business areas to ensure clarity concerning financial performance and financial requirements.
Data Storage:
- Maintains financial files and information in a way that allows ease of retrieval of information and reports.
Data Analysis:
- Analyse ledgers and accounts to allow the reconciliation of financial data according to stated schedules so that the company remains aware of its financial position on an ongoing basis and statutory reports can be produced within statutory time limits.
Self-Development:
- Develop own professional expertise through optimising on-the-job training opportunities and formal training situations in order to improve levels of personal performance.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- Chartered Accountant with 3 to 5 Years of Qualitative experience.
- Sound knowledge of standard accounting practices and procedures
- Good Command of the English language.
- Good computer skills.
