Hiring for CA Qualified with experience in External Reporting
The External Financial Reporting team is responsible for the preparation of our SEC filings, including Form 10-Qs and Form 10-K. This person will be responsible for the following:
- Manage a team of 5 professionals that work on external reporting, consolidations, acquisitions and accounting and finance manual.
- Oversee the preparation, coordination, and review of certain disclosures and workings associated with quarterly SEC filings. These primarily include Forms 10-Q and 10-K but may include others as required.
- Support month end and year-end financial closes which include consolidation activities, review of periodic accounting entries, financial statements and reconciliations, as required. This may include the review of the cash flow statement, EPS calculations, proforma expense details and OCI taxes on hedges among others.
- Manage accounting for stock-based compensation, which will include forecasting and recording of expense, analysis of actuals versus the forecast at the quarter-ends and providing stock awards related information for SEC disclosures and proxy filing.
- Support the quarterly earnings release and the Investor Relations team through the provision of timely and accurate financial information, review of key earnings information and non-GAAP reconciliations.
- Monitor and research relevant accounting literature and provide technical memos and guidance to ensure our accounting is in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This includes identification of upcoming accounting pronouncements and standards and communicating to management, business partners and auditors the result of those findings.
- Support and prepare information for technical accounting guidance for other projects, such as business acquisitions or disposals, segment reporting, investments, equity modifications, lease accounting, among others.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley ("SOX") requirements for owned activities.
- Help to communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to the management team.
- Supervise accounting for functional currency analysis and issue identification and resolution.
- Manage the update process and maintenance of our worldwide accounting policy manual to improve clarity and consistency.
- Oversee the support and filing of various quarterly and annual U.S. government agency filings (i.e. U.S. Census Bureau reports).
- Work closely with Treasury/CCO/F,P&A, ABRT and other finance teams on financial statement matters.
- Participate in purchase price accounting for acquisitions and lead, as required, the tangible asset reviews.
