Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic Statutory Audit Team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to conduct external audits, financial reporting, and risk assessments for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Ind AS, IFRS, the Companies Act, and other relevant regulatory standards.
This position requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of auditing principles, and the ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Execution & Planning:
- Assist in the planning and execution of statutory audits in accordance with the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, and relevant auditing standards.
- Conduct detailed testing of financial data and supporting documentation.
- Perform substantive procedures and analytical reviews to identify potential risks and anomalies.
- Document audit procedures and findings in accordance with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in client meetings to understand their business processes and audit requirements.
Financial Statement Review:
- Ensure financial statements are prepared in compliance with Ind AS, GAAP, and Schedule III reporting requirements.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Assess the adequacy of accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare and review financial statement disclosures.
Risk & Control Assessment:
- Identify and assess audit risks and develop appropriate audit procedures.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend process improvements.
- Perform testing of internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant frameworks.
- Document and communicate findings related to risk and control assessments.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Work on CARO 2020, IFC testing, and SOX compliance for relevant clients.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Tax & GST Reconciliations:
- Support ITC reconciliations and ensure compliance with GST regulations.
- Assist in Form 3CD tax audits and direct tax provisions.
- Perform tax planning and advisory services as needed.
Coordination & Reporting:
- Liaise with clients to gather information and address audit-related queries.
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports and presentations.
- Ensure timely completion of audit assignments and adherence to deadlines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless audit execution.
- Maintain organized and accurate audit documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 0 to 7+ years of relevant experience in statutory audits.
- Strong understanding of Ind AS, IFRS, the Companies Act, and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience in CARO 2020, IFC testing, and SOX compliance is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of tax and GST regulations is an advantage.
