Job Description
The role is based in Santacruz, Mumbai and the role holder will be in-charge of the management of the corporate client/business portfolio which involves developing new business, maintain portfolio quality, and regular reviews to ensure achievement of growth and business targets of the Unit, assigned by Management. Mobilise new business and cross sell Bank's products.
- A key member of the Corporate Sales Team developing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of bank's corporate clients across India based in Mumbai
- Responsible for creating a significant market presence for the Bank in the corporate sales, including raising the profile of Bank.
- Develop new business, retain and manage a portfolio of clients, develop strong, long-term relationships in the Corporate Banking segment. The jobholder will operate in a dynamic and highly competitive marketplace.
- There will be a strong emphasis to identify and drive business development - both in terms of new business with existing customers as well as new customers
- Manage and oversee the process of enhancing the corporate customer service quality and promote new corporate customers align with senior management strategy
Key Accountabilities:
- Client Coverage & Relationship Management
- Primary point of contact within the Bank for your portfolio customers - CEO, Finance Director, Treasurer etc, on strategic financial advice/business risk/ issues-as appropriate.
- Responsible for delivering a consultancy-based approach to the customer through use of the wider group capability and selling the Bank's Corporate and Investment Bank product suite. Achieve a high degree of cross sell
- Regular meetings with customers to monitor changing circumstances /plans /opportunities, together with ad hoc meetings as required. Communicating all key messages concerning relationships, to others as appropriate.
- Within scheduled meetings undertake Risk Review as required
- Use feedback gained on Product /Service offerings to inform / identify and contribute to the development of distinctive service/product offerings, which would be appropriate to the industry.
- Sell complex solutions using a diagnostic approach. This will require the jobholder to have an in-depth understanding of customer needs and to take a holistic view of the customers' business.
- Research, create and follow up a defined target list for potential new business, taking an industry sector focus as agreed with the CB Head
- Arrange and undertake product presentations along with product partners where appropriate, including updation of salesforce, outputs from pricing tools
