Requirement: Channel Development Manager
Client – Consumer Durable
Industry: FMCG, Telecom, Tyres & Paints
Relevant Experience: 6-8 yrs
Education: MBA (Premier Institute only).
Locations: Anywhere in North India,
- Ability to influence and implement channel strategies to achieve organization’s long-term objectives
- Excellent knowledge of the Market
Job Description:
The incumbent will be responsible for following:
Distribution Strategy –
- Formulate distribution strategies specific to state/region - adopting/ implementing systems & best practices
- Understand the market forces and benchmark with other similar companies and diverse industries to constantly evaluate different models and adapt to Samsung scenario
- High Growth market with high competitive activity will require greater level of strategic thinking and execution
Identification & onboarding –
- Sourcing and appointment of distributors, motivating, coaching and capability building of the distributor team and handholding where required
- Planning and analysis of RDS Capacity and scalability
- Identify locations of channel coverage
- Obtaining necessary approvals for on boarding of newly-appointed partners
Health –
- New RDS / MD evaluation
- SRD / SMD – Samsung distributor – health of business and investments
Performance measurement –
- RDS and MD Quarterly MBO / Monthly Measurement Matrix (assessment)
- Non-compliant RDS identification (DSE / CDT) - movement from SRD to SMD
- Drive distributor consolidation and distributor management processes by setting up robust review mechanisms to enable decision-making at RO/HO level
