Chainalytics - Senior Data Scientist - Operations Research

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

- Working with clients, consultants, and software engineers to determine requirements and conceptualize solutions

- Researching and developing innovative optimization models and machine learning algorithms

- Applying theories of mathematical modeling - including linear programming, combinatorial optimization, integer programming, network flows, and time-series analysis to design optimal or near optimal solution methodologies for our clients

- Prototyping and developing using the languages such as Python and R

- Leading project plans by managing product features, technical risks, milestones, and release strategies

- Researching and onboarding new technologies into the organization

- Influencing organization's long term roadmap and resourcing around data scientist and operations research professionals

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have

- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering

- 5+ years professional experience in Operations Research or a similar role

- Strong knowledge of linear programming or mixed-integer programming

- Experience implementing models with R, Matlab, AMPL, or Mathematica

- Proficient in at least one major programming language (Python, Java, C++, C#)

- Expertise in at least one commercial mixed integer solver (Gurobi, CPLEX, XPRESS)

- Experience with relational database and SQL

- Ability to tailor communications to level and background of the audience

- Excellent written and verbal technical communications skills

- Manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently and work well under tight timelines & multiple time zones

- Reside in or be willing to relocate to Bengaluru, India with some potential travel to client sites
