Currently, Chaayos operates 80 plus stores across North (Delhi NCR, Chandigarh), West (Mumbai) and South (Bangalore) regions of India and it is all set to rapidly increase its footprint throughout the country. Supply Chain is the backbone of Chaayos operations enabling Chaayos stores to serve 80,000 ways of chais and a vast menu of food centred around Chai most of the food is produced in-house at Chaayos' central commissaries. In addition to Chaayos cafes, supply chain at Chaayos also support its thriving e-commerce and B2B business for in-house manufactured RTMs and signature Tea blends. Asst. Director - Supply Chain, Sourcing & Procurement will be responsible for leading a team of high-functioning team to lead sourcing of more than 1500 SKUs of categories as diverse as Fresh vegetables and Dairy to Furniture and Signages. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and enhance sourcing strategies for all of more than 1500 SKUs ranging from groceries to disposables to fixed assets ensuring quality and lowest costs across geographies - Developing vendors across India to fuel Chaayos rapid expansion plans - Drive COGS Saving initiatives - Handling Vendor Escalations from Fulfilment team - Develop In-depth understanding of each category and create annual buying plans/strategies - Vendor Engagement, Defining Share of Business and Vendor Categorization, Vendor felicitation - Driving sourcing for New SKUs - Handling even purchases for low frequency, large strategic categories like Ripple Cups, Tea leaves - Protecting Business from Single Vendor scenarios - Executing multi vendor strategy, protecting business from price and quality shocks - executing contracts based on price, quality and fulfiment parameters"" - Projects Capex control, projects Vendor Onboarding as per defined criteria, Projects Billing and Capex closure - Fixed Assets Sourcing - including Total cost of ownership - Developing local level sourcing - Reducing inter-city logistics - Industry Cost Benchmarking " In-depth knowledge of nuances of sourcing diverse categories including agricultural produce, packaging and fixed assets - Great negotiation skill - Should be methodical in approaching problems - Problem Solver - Good understanding of nuances of legal agreements - Experienced in contract manufacturing - Good with numbers Should be passionate - Get stuff done attitude - Teamwork - Able to lead and inspire team - Able to work with cross-functional teams - 8-12 years of experience in supply chain and sourcing. Relevant industry experience (FMCG, F&B, Hospitality) will be great - B.Tech from tier 1 engineering college / MBA from Tier 1 College
