Role Description :
Role Title : Manager -- Product Development
Reports to : Head - Product Planning
Location : Mumbai
Job purpose :
- To drive development of new products across Business units (OEM, Exports and Replacement) as per product roadmap of the category.
- The role drives new platform introduction, range expansion as per identified road-map and managing platform and product life cycle including platform improvements and phase off. Will be sole responsible of long term planning

Key Responsibilities :
New Product Development :
- Drive new product platform and identified sizes development within set timelines by regular follow up with NPD Cross functional team
- Incorporate inputs from market visits basis competitor product benchmarking, voice of customer and channel in identifying emerging or prevalent needs of the consumers.
Consumer Insighting :
- Identify relevant consumer needs that can be translated to appropriate product platforms through lead user, consumer and influencer insighting
- Concept development and concept testing of identified platforms leading to market potential estimation and go / no go decision for platforms and specific sizes under the platform
Launch Plan development :
- Drive product / platform launch preparation in coordination with sales development and marketing.
Technical performance :
- Drive platform performance testing through Quality assurance, Product Evaluation and Customer Service team and track feedback
- To ensure delivery of Cost and quality parameters as per the project Standard of requirements.
Documentation :
- Development of all consumer, sales and marketing and financial documents related to the product development.
- Ensuring adherence to project document quality and project timelines
